What's Your Money Mindset?

How do you feel about money?

Do you think people with money are good, or bad?

What kind of comments did you hear about money while you were growing up?

How did your parents talk about money? What about your friends?

Did you make fun of the rich kids, or were you one of the rich kids? Even rich kids grow up with hangups and conditioning about money.

ALL of the comments you heard about money while you were growing up have conditioned your mind about money.

I want you to try an exercise. Go and get a clean sheet of paper, and a pen. Ready?

Write out your answer to the following question:

What is my understanding of what money really is?

If you have a negative belief about money, you won't let yourself have it. So, you need to get clear about what exactly money is.

Money is energy. It's a symbol of our life energy.

Every dollar you receive is just an evaluated measurement of your work (the life energy you exchanged with another person). You and that person mutually agreed to what your life energy was worth, and then exchanged a symbol or printed paper of that worth for your energy.

When you start to look at money as life energy, you will naturally start treating it better... and treating yourself and others better.

Make a decision, right now, that you will start doing things to increase your life energy. Start treating yourself, others, and money, with more respect. Say to yourself, repeatedly throughout the day, "money is good, and I can do lots of good things with money."

Be honest with yourself about money.

Are you getting paid what you think you're worth? If not, why not? Be honest! If you're not getting what you honestly think you're worth, then you need to assess why. Do you have the education, skills, contacts, experience, etc. in the market for which you're asking to be paid?

Money is energy. What you give out, you get back. It's that simple.

To avoid building any resentments toward money and people, it's important to work on improving your life energy.

Commit to your education. Commit to giving good value for the work you do. Commit to living your life honestly and ethically. Start now!

Forget the past. Forgive yourself for any past mistakes. Maybe you've done some bad things with money. Write down those mistakes, and honestly ask yourself what you've learned from the experiences... and what you plan to do differently in the future.

Writing is the most powerful form of focus, and what we focus on GROWS. It's the law of the universe, which is as precise as the law of gravity.

Start a Gratitude Journal. Write in it EVERY day. Write down everything you're grateful for. Be specific. Even if you feel you don't have anything to be grateful for, chances are there is someone out there who is worse off than you! If you had a shower and a meal today, you're better off than the millions of impoverished people who live on this planet. Learn to be grateful, and express in in writing EVERY day.

I know when you commit to doing what I've just outlined, you will see a shift in your prosperity.

I look forward to hearing about your journey! In the meantime, enjoy a great Pink tune :-)

Til next time,
